I'm turning 30 tomorrow...
HOLY CRAP!! I'M TURNING 30!!
T-h-i-r-t-y...THIRTY!!
ugh...
I know, I know...30 is not that old but I'm having a tough time wrapping my brain around this particular birthday. So I decided to write out my bucket list because, at 30, I still have plenty of life left to be able to do all these things.
Here it goes:
1. Visit the British Isles and the Channel Islands...England, Ireland, Scotland, Guernsey
2. Get a bigger house...2 adults, 3 kids, 2 cats, 1 dog, 2 bedrooms...need I say more?
3. When I get a bigger house, have a RED room...I've always wanted to have a red room. Perhaps a library.
4. Serve a mission with my husband.
5. Visit Italy, France and Germany.
6. Paint again...I was never very good at it but I still enjoyed it.
7. Have a Steinway to call my own...words cannot express how it feels to play a Steinway.
8. Be completely debt free except for my home and perhaps a car AND STAY THAT WAY!
9. Visit all the Church historical sites...I've been to a few but I'd love to take the kids on a trip to see them all at once.
10. Finish all the genealogy I can.
11. Do all the temple work I can from those members of my family tree that I find.
12. Watch my children be sealed in the temple to their spouses.
13. Go to Disney...I've never been there but we're working on a five year plan to get there.
14. See a Broadway show and actually stay awake this time...I fell asleep during Titanic but I wasn't the only one.
15. Take a dip in the Great Salt Lake...I can't swim but I can float.
16. Try escargot...I might have to try it without actually knowing that's what it is.
17. Watch the wild horses of Shackleford Banks.
18. Get a pedicure.
19. Learn to swing dance.
20. See the Mona Lisa...I had the chance when I was in high school but my options were see what else the Met had to offer or wait in line for 2 hours to see the Mona Lisa. I don't remember anything I saw at the Met but I bet I would have remembered seeing the Mona Lisa.
21. Go to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C. and check out the Smithsonian while I'm there.
22. Take up photography again.
23. Read the complete works of Jane Austen...might have to watch the movies to understand exactly what is happening though.
24. Read the Bible from cover to cover.
25. Write a book...it will never be published but it would still be fun.
26. Watch the Indianapolis 500 and I don't mean on t.v.
27. Do 20 push ups...not the girl kind.
28. Visit a Renaissance fair.
29. Solve a Rubik's cube...without peeling the stickers off.
And finally...
30. Have some amazing kids.
I think I can check that last one off my list.
