I was rinsing dishes and loading my dishwasher earlier when I looked out my window. This is what I saw...
Well, not this exact one, but one just like it eating the same kind of clover in my yard. I would have loved to take my camera outside to get a picture of it but I had three kids in the house to keep an eye on. So I watched it from my window and thought about how beautiful butterflies are. So delicate. So graceful. Then I heard the thud of a little boy falling off the chair onto the living room floor and the tears that followed. Back to reality ;)
Don't you just love it when you come upon a sweet reminder of Heavenly Father's love like this? It touches my heart to see the exquisite care that was put into even the smallest detail of our world. Even though we had to leave His presence for this difficult thing called mortality, he tenderly surrounded us with nature's beauty as a reminder of how loved we are. How grateful I am for eyes to see and a mother who taught me to appreciate! Thank you for sharing your sweet 'aha' moment of the day. love you!

ReplyDeleteThis past weekend we had a butterfly just like this following around our kids while they biked in the driveway. It was so special. Glad we each can have moments like that:).
